Butchers at work behind the counter at Centre des Viandes F. Iasenza.

A cut above

Montreal's neighbourhood butcher since 1981

Eight butcher shops, one family. Every cut you know, and the ones you can't find anywhere else.

More than a butcher shop

Since 1981, Centre des Viandes F. Iasenza has been the butcher Montreal families come back to. Beef, pork, veal, lamb, chicken and turkey, cut and trimmed behind our counters. Rabbit, mutton, tripe, oxtail and the specialty cuts most grocery stores stopped carrying. Plus the spices, sauces, rice, beans and Latin American, Caribbean and African groceries that complete the meal.

One family. Eight neighbourhoods. The same standard behind every counter.

A Montreal family business since 1981

Franco Iasenza opened his first shop at the corner of Beaubien and St-Michel in 1981. Three years later, he moved to the corner of St-Michel and Bélanger, where our flagship store and head office still stand today. Every store since has been built the same way: skilled butchers, honest prices and a counter that reflects the neighbourhood it serves.
