Our story
In 1981, Franco Iasenza opened a small butcher shop at the corner of Beaubien and St-Michel. His idea was simple: sell good meat at a fair price, and treat every customer like a neighbour.
Today, that first shop has grown into eight stores. The family is still behind the business, and the idea hasn't changed.

The shop moves to the corner of St-Michel and Bélanger. It's still there today: our flagship store and head office.

A second store opens on Pie-IX Boulevard to serve the growing Montréal-Nord community.

Tétreaultville, Vimont and Dollard-des-Ormeaux complete the network. Eight neighbourhoods, one standard, still family-run.
How we work
Skilled butchers, real cutting
Our meat is cut and trimmed in store by trained butchers.
A selection you won't find elsewhere
Alongside everyday cuts, we carry the specialty cuts and offal that big grocery chains dropped years ago, plus the spices, sauces, rice and groceries that go with them.
Honest prices, published openly
Our full price list is online and updated regularly. The same prices at all eight stores, with no surprises at the counter.
Giving back
A neighbourhood business owes something to its neighbourhood. For more than four decades, we've supported local causes, community events and the families who keep our counters busy.
