Centre des Viandes F. Iasenza ("Iasenza" or "we") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through the iasenza.com website, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices and rights you have under Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25.

1. Person in charge of personal information

Centre des Viandes F. Iasenza is responsible for the personal information collected on this website. Our person in charge of the protection of personal information oversees this policy and answers your questions and requests.

2. Information we collect

  • When you contact us: if you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), the store concerned (optional), the subject of your request and your message.
  • Specials by email (if offered): if you sign up to receive our monthly specials, we collect your email address, your language, and the date and wording of your consent.
  • Technical information: like most websites, our servers and hosting provider automatically record some data needed to run and secure the site, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. To protect the form against spam, we keep a coded (hashed) version of your IP address with your message, never the address itself.
  • Cookies: see section 5.

We do not sell anything online and we do not collect any payment information on this website.

3. Why we use it

  • To reply to your message or request, including a job application
  • To send you our monthly specials, if you asked for them
  • To run, secure and improve the website, including measuring traffic if you accept it
  • To meet our legal obligations

We use your information only for these purposes, or for other purposes with your consent or where the law allows it.

5. Cookies

A cookie is a small file saved by your browser. We use two types of cookies:

  • Essential (always on): a cookie that remembers your cookie choice, kept for six months, and a sign-in cookie used only by our staff in the site's administration area.
  • Analytics (optional): Google Analytics, only if you accept. These cookies help us understand how the site is used (pages viewed, device type, approximate region). They are never set before you agree.

We do not use advertising cookies.

You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page or the button below. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings.

6. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the website, such as our web hosting and email providers and, if you accept analytics cookies, Google. These providers may use it only to provide their services to us and must protect it. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

Information stored outside Quebec: some of these providers may store or process information outside Quebec, including in the United States. When this is the case, we take reasonable steps so that your information receives adequate protection.

7. Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described or as required by law. Messages received through the contact form are kept as long as needed to handle your request and for our normal records, then destroyed or anonymized. Addresses signed up for the specials email are kept until you unsubscribe.

8. Security

We use reasonable physical, technical and administrative security measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access limited to authorized staff with individual accounts, and spam protection on our forms. However, no transmission over the internet is completely secure.

If a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious injury, we notify the people concerned and the Commission d'accès à l'information, as the law requires.

9. Your rights

Under Quebec law, you can in particular:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you and get a copy
  • Have inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous information corrected
  • Withdraw your consent
  • Ask us to stop disseminating your information or to de-index a link, in certain circumstances
  • Receive your information in a structured, commonly used technological format

To exercise your rights, write to our person in charge of the protection of personal information (section 1). We will reply within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (opens in a new tab).

This website is not intended for children under 14. We do not knowingly collect their personal information without the consent of a parent or guardian.

11. Links to other websites

Our website links to other websites, such as Google Maps for directions, Facebook and Instagram. Their own privacy policies apply.

12. Changes and questions

We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page shows the current version.

For any question about this policy or your personal information, write to our person in charge of the protection of personal information at the address in section 1 or through our contact form.
